Oksana and her son prayed without ceasing. They know and believe that this is the source of their miraculous escape from Mariupol. This is their first hand story.
On March 3, 2022, we miraculously left Mariupol under fire. Before that, we sat in the basement for a few days. Psalm 90 did not leave our mouths. We called on the angels to repel the enemy's attacks and to stand with a wall of [protection] around us and the basement where we were.
One day, we were covered with a [hail of fire] four times. We were already preparing for death, but they just miraculously flew through our basement and exploded nearby. My son said, "Mommy, let's say the prayer of repentance." We prayed.
In the morning we heard someone calling us. It was our friend who broke through the shelling to pick us up. We couldn't believe it when we saw him. They grabbed what was at hand and left. All the way, we prayed again and called on the angels to accompany our way - as well as [saying] Psalm 90. We just prayed and prayed...
When we arrived at the safe place, my son said, "Mom, it's a miracle. God has worked so many miracles in our lives!" I cried.
The next day we learned that a bomb had hit the garage where we were hiding. The Lord has done a miracle for us. He brought us out and [worked] through people who never knew us. We still have relatives in Mariupol, and we haven't known anything about them for weeks. However, we believe that God will save them, because hope is only in Him!
